Lizenz zum Klettern V3

Als die erste Auflage von „Lizenz zum Klettern“ 1995 erschien, war die Resonanz bei Kletterern und Fachpresse überwältigend. Undogmatisch und phantasievoll werden alle Kriterien behandelt, die bei der Steigerung der eigenen Leistungsfähigkeit am Fels eine Rolle spielen. Jetzt ist die völlig überarbeitete und erweiterte "Lizenz zum Klettern V3" erchienen.

Auf den 240, zum großen Teil farbigen Seiten nimmt besonders die Klettertechnik breiten Raum ein. Dabei werden die Techniken in konkreten Situation analysiert und nicht an einer Kunstwand "nachgestellt". Der illustre Kreis der "Vorbilder" umfasst einige der besten Kletterer unserer Zeit und reicht vom dreizehn jährigen Wunderkind Adam Ondra über Angela Eiter, Chris Sharma, Dave Graham, Fred Nicole, Klem Loskot, Marietta Uhden zu Yuji Hirayama und vielen Anderen. Gezeigt wird das ganze Spektrum klettersportlicher Aktivitäten. Ob bouldern, deep water soloing, Sport- oder Abenteuerklettern und Bigwalls, Lizenz zum Klettern V3 behandelt alles und hält zahllose Tips zur Verbesserung bereit.

Hinsichtlich der neuen Trainingsmethoden wird anschaulich gemacht, in welchem Umfang die jeweiligen Prinzipien und Übungen für das Klettern sinnvoll sind. Aus den vorherigen Auflagen übernommen ist die Betonung individueller Unterschiede: Anhand von drei prototypischen Charakteren wird beschrieben, wie individuelle Defizite auch spezielle Lösungen erfordern. Neben den physischen Faktoren beschreibt das Buch auch ausführlich mentale Probleme, die den Weg nach oben bremsen. Das Ganze ist nicht hochtheoretisch, sondern anschaulich und nett zu lesen aufbereitet. Die Neuauflage enthält zahlreiche Grafiken, Fotos und Bewegungssequenzen, die den Erklärungen plastische Gestalt verleihen. Da das Buch keine Informationen zur Sicherungstechnik enthält, eignet es sich nicht als alleiniges Lehrbuch für Anfänger. Wer sich aber möglichst effektiv verbessern will, kommt an Lizenz zum Klettern V3 nicht vorbei.

 

Lizenz erneuert

"Vor 12 Jahren brachte Udo Neumann erstmals sein Kletterlehrbuch "Lizenz zum Klettern" auf den Markt. Dieses Frühjahr erschien nun die stark überarbeitete Fassung "Lizenz zum Klettern V3", die allen, die gerne besser Klettern wollen, den Weg durch den Maßnahmen Dschungel weit. Alles, was die "Lizenz" seit jeher zur positiven Ausnahme unter den Kletterbüchern gemacht hat - die witzige Schreibe, die vielen praktischen Beispiele, die ganzheitliche Herangehensweise an das Phänomen der Kletterleistung - ist hier wieder enthalten und weiter ausgebaut worden. Das Buch beschäftigt sich mit jedem Aspekt des Kletterkönnens (und -wollens), wobei die mentale Seite eine ebenso große Rolle spielt wie die rein körperliche. Neu sind die vielen bunten Bilder, die vor allem die Kapitel zur Klettertechnik ausführlich und anschaulich illustrieren. Anhand von Beispielen aus allen Spielarten des Sportkletterns erläutert Udo die Technikstärken und -schwächen der gezeigten Protagonisten, darunter viele der besten Kletterer derWelt. Streckenweise wird das Buch so zum Bilderbuch, wobei die Bilder stets einen Zweck erfüllen, der auch erklärt wird. Bei der Klettertechnik führt Udo eine Reihe neuer Übungen ein, das gleiche gilt im Trainingskapitel für die Körperspannungs- und dehnungsübungen. Wie gehabt ist die "Lizenz" nicht das übersichtlichste Buch der Welt und es sind immer noch einige Bildfolgen im Briefmarkenformat enthalten (aber sie sind inzwischen die große Ausnahme).
Die große Stärke der "Lizenz" bleibt es, die Frage "Wie werde ich ein besserer Kletterer?" fundiert, von wirklich allen Seiten und mit vielen inspirierenden Gedanken (und Fotos) und praktischen Tips anzugehen."
